Recently i had the problem of having no sound at all after updating to windows 10. I figured that i wasn't the only one with this problem. Solution: 1) Go to Computer Management > Device Manager. Downloads Detail ds032124. Automatic Driver Update. Windows Support Center: Learn More: Windows Support Center: Learn More: About Lenovo + About Lenovo. Conexant Sound / Audio Free Driver Download| Keep your Conexant Sound / Audio drivers up to date with the world's most popular driver download site. HP has provided software updates for Conexant HD Audio Driver. Windows 10: 9.0.134.1 Windows 8.1: 9.0.134.1 Windows 7: 8.65.204.1 HP EliteBook 725 G3. Go to v Audio -input and -output Press the arrow key. 2) you will now see 2 options, your internal Microphone (Conexant smartaudio HD) and your internal speaker/headphone (Conexant smartaudio HD) RIGHT CLICK BOTH OF THEM AND CLICK UNINSTALL (this should be option 3 when right click.) 3) Scroll down trough the Device manager list until you see v Audio, video and games Again, press the arrow key. 4) When you click the arrow key, you should be able to see 2 options, Conexant smartaudio HD AND NVIDIA High Definition Audio. Again, uninstall ONLY the Conexant smartaudio HD. Now you basically have no sound drivers on your computer left meaning you need to google and find the Conexant driver that belongs to your computer. BUT the drivers which your need to download HAVE TO BE for a lower windows. For example: i have a sony vaio with windows 10, i deleted my audio drivers and i reinstalled conexant drivers for windows 7. This is where i found the conexant drivers for my sony vaio for windows 7. After you reinstalled drivers for a lower windows, it SHOULD ask you to reboot your pc to apply the changes. After that reboot, your sound should be fixed. I hope this kind of helped, Feel free to reply to this post and help others Regentix. I had the same problem, but discovered it when I Skyped after a Win 10 install and Skype update (v 17). I was assuming the Skype update caused the problem, but it may well have been the Win 10 install.
